The Image

A white and teal cockatoo in mid-flight, wings fully spread, against deep navy mountains. Gold and orange accent feathers, painterly texture.

The bird is almost centred, the wings make a near-symmetry the rest of the composition avoids. The accent feathers stop it becoming a decorative motif.

Third of birds, three Japanese-influenced flight studies. The most heraldic of the three.
